My name is Zack Artis. I was born in PA. I currently live in VA. “FINGERSTYLE GUITAR “ is what I enjoy. Fingerstyle guitar is when you play the baseline chords and melody simultaneously on the guitar. Most of the music I play is instrumental—the songs I create are inspired by real-life events and are the soundtrack of my l journey. People often tell me my guitar sounds like it's singing. That's because I emphasize the melody in every song. I arrange cover songs to fit my style of playing. When I play the guitar, I want a full band coming from one instrument. I began playing guitar at the age of ten and I have been performing ever since. I am influenced by Tommy Emmanuel, Joe Satriani, and Norman Brown (to name a few ). I have shared the stage with many renowned music acts such as Vince Gill, Robert Cray, and the Ohio Players, along with many others. I started teaching music workshops because my followers wanted to know about my style and arranging songs on the guitar. So I started sharing bits and pieces of music theory in my performances. you can catch me throwing a bit of music knowledge at the audience in my shows! I love teaching music theory. Because it is for musicians and non-musicians alike. It gives insight into the art and craft of music. I enjoy playing the guitar and performing at public and private events. I BELIEVE THAT MUSIC IS THE LANGUAGE OF THE HEART AND THE SOUND OF THE SOUL.
